4 – Invoicing

The purpose of the invoicing page is to provide a summary of work that has yet to be invoiced along with other useful information relating to the job.

There are 2 Sections of interest:

1 – Heading

2 – Projects/Job column

4.1 – Heading

The heading identifies the page that you are on.

4.2 – Projects/Job column

The main body provides a tabular overview of all projects and jobs of the business, and the information on when (and if) they were last invoiced, the money owing and provides a summary in the last row of the table. Also, the [Project/job] column provides a link to an invoicing: project tracking page.

If you click a link in the [Project/Job] column, you will be taken to a more detailed breakdown of the work. See section 4.2.1 - Invoicing: Project Tracking

 

4.2.1 - Invoicing: Project Tracking

Provides a tabular overview of a specified project.

There are 3 sections of interest.

1 - The heading

2 - Client Contact

3 - Job column

*Note* - The project is specified from section 4 – Invoicing.

4.2.1.1 - The heading

The heading identifies the page that you are on.

4.2.1.2 - Client Information

Provides information on the client contact for the project.

There are 3 items of interest in this section.

1 - Client Contact

2 - E-mail link

3 - Phone Number

4.2.1.2.1 - Client Contact

Provides a link to section 6.x - Client Record for...

See section 6.x - Client Record for... for more details.

4.2.1.2.2 - E-mail link

Provides a quick facility to e-mail the contact person for the specified client (as per section 6 - Clients & Contracts.

*Note* - please make sure that your e-mail program is correctly installed and is working.

4.2.1.2.3 - Phone Number

Provides a quick reference to the phone number for the contact person for the specified client.

4.2.1.3 - Job column

Provides a tabular overview of the project specified in the section 4 – Invoicing and all of the jobs that are related to the project.

The item of interest here, is the link in the [Job] column that links to section 4.2.1.3.1 - Invoicing: job summary.

 

4.2.1.3.1 - Invoicing: job summary

Provides a tabular overview of work done on a job along with the invoicing information.

There are 4 sections of interest:

2 - A quick summary

3 - A quick calculator

4 - The details table

4.2.1.3.1.1 - The heading

The heading identifies the page that you are on.

4.2.1.3.1.2 - A quick summary

Provides a quick summary of the estimated time, the time spent on the job, the amount invoiced to date, and the amount still to be invoiced for.

There is one item of further interest, the Estimated time link.

4.2.1.3.1.2.1 - Estimated time

Provides a link through to section 3.3 – Jobs, where you may change the estimated time if needed.

4.2.1.3.1.3 - A quick calculator

Provides a quick guide to approximate the amount of work that you have invoiced for. Also see section 4.2.1.3.1.4.1 - Invoiced radio buttons.

*Note* - This calculator is automatically updated when the Invoiced radio buttons are used.

4.2.1.3.1.4 - The details table

Provides a detailed tabular overview of the work done on a job to date and the status of invoice for the work.

There are 3 items of further interest in this section.

Provides a facility to record the status of work invoiced

Provides a recording mechanism for invoices.
